Creekside Canine

Ethical, Modern, & Science-backed

Hi, I'm Erynn at Creekside Canine. ๐Ÿ‘‹

I am a certified dog trainer helping dogs (and humans) in the Cultus Lake (Chilliwack) area of BC Canada. I am certified with the prestigious Karen Prior Academy of dog trainers and specialize in solutions for aggressive behaviour in dogs. My approach is ethical and science-backed, using the most current methods in the dog training industry, with a focus on the health and well-being of dogs and the bonds they share with their families.

Ethical Approach

I know that every dog, regardless of their past, has the potential for, and deserves, positive change. That's why I specialize in behavior modification, especially for nervous, fearful, or reactive dogs. I seek to understand and address the root cause of aggression, the motivating factors behind the behaviours, and use compassionate, science-based techniques to create lasting transformation. No fear, intimidation, pain, or other harsh methods.

Barkey / Lungey Behaviour?

Reactivity, excitement, aggression... we call it a lot of things, but I just call it what it is - barking and lunging. In any case, these behaviours can be stressful for your dog, provoke aggression in other dogs, be embarrassing for you, and typically worsen over time without intervention. Working through these behaviours requires keen observation skills, an up-to-date understanding of dog psychology, and effective and practical methods that keep everyone safe. Comfortable with even the most challenging cases, I can work closely with you and your pup to identify triggers, reduce anxiety, and replace aggression with confidence and trust.

Manners & Obedience

While my focus in on improving aggressive behaviours, this can't be done without fostering the strong trusting relationship between you and you dog. My positive reinforcement based techniques make learning fun for your dog. Whether it's honing the basics or advanced tricks, learning new skills together increases your dogs ability to focus on you, hear you through the fear and/or excitement, trust that you have things handled, and gives them alternative things to do when things might otherwise get tense.

Private Consultation

Every dog is unique, and I tailor my training programs and behaviour plans to suit your dog's individual needs. And yours. Our one-on-one consultations offer personalized solutions to address specific challenges. The Initial consultation Is 1 1/2 hours and includes review of your in-depth intake form, focused discussion on your top concerns, and a followup training/behaviour plan. From there you can book consecutive checkins, training sessions, or other services to suit your needs.
